Your mindset
You need to remember a couple of things aside from the Words With Friends Cheat website. These include aspects regarding your mental capacity and how you see the game.
- In learning words that can be played in Words With Friends, don't use a Scrabble or an English dictionary – Words With Friends has its own dictionary where it even includes proper nouns.
- Remember that this game is more than just creating unique words and scoring points – it is like playing chess, albeit you're playing with letter tiles, not with pawns, bishops and queens.
- Aside from learning the money words, you should also learn two letter words as well. These may not score big points, but they allow you to escape tricky situations and is a vital cog in playing defense.
Don't just score points, play defense as well
As mentioned in the previous paragraph, Words With Friends is more than just creating the best words – you need to do a lot of strategizing. Of course, everyone wants to score heavily and make come-from-behind moves. That said however, you also need to be able to PREVENT your opponent from scoring big as well. Here are some of the ways in order to do so:
- Restrict your opponent's ability to score via the bonus tiles. If you can score less than ten points by putting in two or three letter words on the tiles, then the better. You may not score big and your opponent wouldn't either.
- Never place tiles that could cause your opponent to score on the bonus squares. Try to keep as far away from these tiles and ensure that it is he that scores near the tiles.
- Cover the pluralized words. For example, if “ZONE” is on the board, just add an “S” in order to prevent your opponent from doing the same thing.
Play with what is on the rack
Your primary weapons in the game are of course the seven letter tiles on your rack. Here are some ways in order to use these little squares wisely:
- If you can score big on a word using the letters on your rack, do it immediately – never save it for later as it will be a lost opportunity.
- However, remember to save letter tiles that you can use in the future. For example, if a word scores 26 points without making it plural by adding an “S” and 27 by adding one, save the S for the succeeding turns instead. It could come in handy.
- Never let the letter tiles stay stationary. Shuffle them every now and then as doing so will enable you to see new words and possibilities.
I just came across a new word game that after playing it rivals WWF. I found it more strategic, challenging, and fun. Give it a try. It's called Triwordz
