Scrabble Basics

Things you should prepare before playing scrabble:

100 letter tiles                          game board                            four racks

Players should agree first on what kind of dictionary to use. This is for the challenging parts of the game and in case there are intricate words that would come out. Words that can be used or is permitted to use is labeled as a part of speech except abbreviations, prefixes, suffixes and words that requires a hyphen or an apostrophe and so on.

Players then needs to place the letters faced down or in a box or pouch. Make sure that these letters are mixed up well. To determine who is the first player and the succeeding players, draw the letters and the one who gets the letter closest to A plays first. A blank tile can be used as any letter. Return these letters to the pool, remix and we are set to play the game. Players shall then draw 7 new letters each and place them on their respective racks. And this is where all the fun begins!
